Hello! I was hoping to get some information on my mother's side of the family. I have a line of names and know that they're all from the Schuylkill County area. My grandfather was James L Loucks (born '34 Shenandoah) and son of Lamar Loucks, Lamar was the son of Elmer Loucks. Elmer was the son of Jacob (born 1829?) and Magdalene Loucks. If anyone has any info I'd love to hear it! Thank you, Mike

Kimberley,

We have a "Raymond Edward Laux" on our family tree.  Would that be your branch?  Whether or not, I hope you will be interested in adding info to it.  Go to http://lauxfamily.tribalpages.com and request membership.

Hello!

I am the first grandchild of Raymond Laux, born to his daughter Nancy. It is exciting to find such a wonderful collection of connections here! It will take me some time, but I hope to look through the "Story of Laux," and check back in from time to time as I become more familiar with our history. God Bless!

Hi Paul,

I sincerely apologize for the delay in responding to you from you email in July. I don't very often check the comments in the International Family Reunion site and I just found your message. You indicated you have information on Charles F. Loucks from Maytown. It would be greatly apprecated if you could send me what you have found.

Best,

Barb Stine

Hello,

My name is Nicole I am 26 and I am a Loucks. I am trying to find out where I come from. I don't know much about who I really am. I lost my dad in 2007 and have been kind of curious about my family history since. My grandfather was Dale T Loucks and his wife was Alma. I never got to meet them. If you have any information that you think may help please let me know.

Last week I researched the deed to my farm in Manchester Twp.back to 1846.

It was purchased that year by a George W. Laucks. It then passed to his only son Isreal, then purchesed at public sale by Isreal's executor, S. Forry Laucks in 1919. In 1942 it was purchased by LEWIS &ALVERTA FORRY. It was purchased by my parents in 1947.

I am really excited to learn that my farm was owned by your notable York family for 100 years and would be happy to show it to Laucks Family members.

I guess my question is : Is this the same George whos name appears on certain York Safes ?

And what is the Lewis Forry connection ?

I have info on a couple of the lines that can correct what you have and add more generations. I just found this site and will get back to get more involved.

Please let me know what info you would like.

Regards,

Clay

Hey, don't forget that there's a tribalpage for us Loucks'  (http://lauxfamily.tribalpages.com/tribe/browse?userid=lauxfamily&view=9&ver=4712)

Also, I have a tree started on ancestry.com for my line of the Loucks tree. The first Loucks I have on it is Johann Thanges Laux, but I'm missing parts of the maternal parts of the family. Here's the link, and if you can't see it, I'm sorry, I'll try to make it available. http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/9072695/family

If you guys could help me add to the ancestry.com tree, that would be great! I hope to come to the reunion if I can get enough money to make it out there (I live in Wisconsin), and I hope to have a lot of the info filled in!!! And if someone could fill in the tribalpage tree with the stuff I have with ancestry, that would be great; for some reason it won't let me edit past my immediate family. Thanks!
